All goods and services are rendered as is and we do not have the ability to adjust or correct for all unforeseen circumstances that could occur with the purchases of live, natural and or the artificial products that we provide. We appreciate your understanding and we will do our best to educate and provide the products, services and information necessary with the intent to make your venture as successful as possible. 

Our customers range from master aquatic enthusiasts to first time fish keepers and we do our best to provide a one on one service, but inevitably some information, product or service can and may be forgotten or left out during your interaction or while doing business with us. This would not be intentional and we will do what we can to make it right but are not liable for questions not asked.

We suggest and highly recommend that you have done your own research and are fully prepared for the commitment and responsibility of any and all purchases made through Sunken Ship Aquatics. 

All Sales are Final.

We reserve the right to refuse the return and or attempted exchange of any product for any reason mentioned or otherwise not mentioned below.

Any return and or exchange if granted will only be processed in the form of a like product or in-store credit so long as it meets the mentioned requirements and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.

 If you find that you have purchased the wrong product or are in need of a different size or variety we can and will usually accommodate if the product is unopened and or unused and is still in "like new" quality and form both in its packing and packaging.

The return or exchange of living organisms, fish food, chemicals and medications are not permitted and is considered a Final Sale for the safety of all customers and their fish friends.

We offer a 3-day (limited) live guarantee on all fish, snails and shrimp that we sell in store unless otherwise stated (this does not include freshwater or saltwater plants, coral or other saltwater invertebrates like anemones and etc.).  After three days, the potential variables and external factors found in an environment out of our control are too great and we cannot reasonably guarantee the survival of said organisms.

In order to qualify for the 3-day guarantee it is imperative that you follow the Sunken Ship basic acclimation procedure when acclimating your new inhabitants. This is a simple process and will greatly reduce the stress imposed on your new friends. If the unfortunate does occur:

Please ensure you have your receipt or a digital copy for reference and as a proof of purchase. Return the deceased creature and a sample of no less than 6oz of aquarium water (in separate containers) for inspection and testing.

If nothing controllable seems to have played an impactful part in the loss, the water is found to be suitable for life, is not currently undergoing treatment and  is within said organisms recommended parameters pertaining to salinity, TDS, and hardness (all dependent upon species) , we will be happy to make the situation right in offering a replacement or in store credit.

We do our best to help mitigate the potential of unwanted hitchhikers like snails and other planarian creatures, with your purchases of plants, corals and fish. We prefer the use of biological controls in our systems to balance and or eradicate unwanted inhabitants with the help of loaches, assassin snails, badis, wrasses, filefish, peppermint shrimp and in some cases puffers. Adding more creatures to a system is not the cure all.

 As creators of aquatic worlds it is very important that we are limiting the amount of available nutrients in the form of unconsumed fish food (frozen, pellet, flakes or wafers). By performing weekly water changes of 25-50% and ensuring that your system is providing the proper amount of filtration for your specific bio load, you can greatly reduce  the potential negative effects and stigma that many of these creatures have received. 

They are performing their function; and you will find that it is less about "what is happening", and more about "why it is happening"? This balance is how we create truly amazing ecosystems.

 Chemical options for treating entire systems are available but only recommended as a last resort.

Coral, live rock and plants can be dipped into solutions as a preventative measure before introducing them to your system.
